随后，berit请叶嘉言、周懿行、Lars一起去库房看藏品。
库房内，各色珍宝琳琅满目，堆了半边。
仔细一看，珠宝、玉石、瓷器、书画、家具都有，门类繁多。
片刻后，叶嘉言逐一鉴定真伪，并让周懿行登记在册。
半天过去了，berit、Lars一直守在一旁，饶有兴致地欣赏，但又不敢搅扰。
berit注意到，叶嘉言不仅帮她鉴定了真伪，还对大多数的藏品都给了个估价，但有些吃不准的，就没有跟周懿行说，也就没有标注。
到最后，叶嘉言对berit说，这些藏品里，只有为数不多的几件是赝品，其他全是真品。
至于估价也很可观。
berit在心中盘算了一下，大致够抵债的。
她想了想，说：“I'm not short of money for now, let's put it in the warehouse for now.”（我暂时不缺钱，先放在仓库里吧。）
叶嘉言便跟她说了一通，保管藏品的知识。
比如，保存书画，须得将之放在干燥通风、不受阳光直射、较为恒温温度的地方。
最好，还要单独放在干燥的房中或柜里，以免潮湿、霉变。
先前的那位主人，鉴定真伪还颇有能耐，但他挑中的藏品等级并不高，这些书画作品也平平无奇。
即便有些名家之作，也是其艺术形成期的作品，价值不大。
但所有的艺术品，都值得被尊重。叶嘉言不希望，因为berit的不懂行，导致藏品受损。
听着叶嘉言的提醒，berit一叠声感谢，又指着一件瓷器，问：
“what are the things to pay attention to when maintaining porcelain?”（保养瓷器，有什么需要注意的地方？）
叶嘉言缓缓道来。
譬如，保持环境稳定，不可暴晒；定期清洁，但不可使用刷子、硬质物，和含碱性、酸性的清洁剂；适当增加空气湿度，但不能使水蒸气沉积。
berit琢磨了一时，问：“I want to make some display cabinets to showcase my favorite porcelain. what should I do?”（我想做一些展示柜，把我喜欢的瓷器陈列一下。该怎么做？）
“If you want to put it up, it should be placed in a packaging box or cotton pad to avoid contact with other items. You also need to put some desiccants, which should be replaced regularly.”（如果要放起来，就放在包装盒或棉垫中，避免与其他物品相接触，还需要放一些干燥剂，干燥剂要定期更换。）
叶嘉言喝了口水，接着说：“If it is placed in a display cabinet, it is even more necessary to regularly inspect and clean it. Remember to seal it properly to avoid bacteria and viruses breeding in the cabinet, which can infect fragile porcelain.”（如果放在展示柜里，就更需要定期检查、清理，千万记得密封到位，要避免柜里滋生的细菌、病毒，它们会感染脆弱的瓷器。）
berit一一动笔记下。
她看着那十多件瓷器，笑道：“I like this one the most, it's called……”（我最喜欢这件，这个叫……）
她坦率地笑了。
不懂行，大方承认就好。
叶嘉言耐心地介绍：“this is a wanli blue and white mixed treasure clark porcelain plate with blooming flowers and bird patterns.”（这是一件万历青花杂宝开光花鸟纹克拉克瓷盘。）
“I know wanli，it's the year title.”berit困惑不解，“what is lighting? what is clark porcelain?”（万历我知道，是年号。什么是开光？什么是克拉克瓷器？）
